Blown-In Attic Insulation in South Jersey

Many South Jersey attics fall short of the insulation recommended today. We blow in new insulation to an even, measured depth, with baffles at the eaves so the roof can still breathe.

Is this you?

Signs you need more insulation

You can see the joists

If the framing shows, there isn't enough insulation to do the job.

Uneven or patchy coverage

Bare spots and low areas let heat pass right through.

Rooms that never feel right

Hot upstairs in summer and drafty downstairs in winter.

Bills that keep climbing

The heat or AC runs constantly and still can't keep up.

The process

How we install blown-in insulation

  1. 01

    Measure what's there

We check the type, depth and current R-value of your insulation.

  2. 02

    Air seal first

Gaps are sealed before anything new goes in.

  3. 03

    Install baffles

Baffles at the eaves keep insulation off the soffit vents so the attic can breathe.

  4. 04

    Blow it in evenly

New insulation is blown across the whole attic to an even depth.

  5. 05

    Show you the result

Depth markers and photos show the attic is covered edge to edge.

The difference

Why blown-in insulation

  • Fills in around wires, pipes and framing with no gaps

Questions

Blown-In Insulation: common questions

Fiberglass or cellulose?

Both work well blown into an attic. We recommend one based on your attic and give you the options in writing.

Can you add new insulation on top of my old insulation?

If the old insulation is clean and dry, yes. If it's wet, moldy or full of droppings, it should come out first.

How much insulation do I need?

We measure what you have now and bring the attic up to the level recommended for South Jersey's climate.

How much does blown-in insulation cost?

It depends on attic size and how much needs to be added. After the free inspection you get a written price before any work starts.
